Mission Statement
The Behavioral Health team aims to create a therapeutic environment that relies on the core values of warmth, respect, consistency, empathy, and encouragement. We utilize an integrated biopsychosocial and harm reduction approach, which is trauma-informed and relational in nature, to assess and treat each individual’s unique needs.
Treatment Philosophy
The uniqueness of the Behavioral Health Department is its emphasis in treating each unique individual as a whole, taking into consideration their environment, physical and mental health history, family and interpersonal experiences, significant past and present life events, cultural and spiritual belief systems, behavioral patterns, developmental stage, and overall cognitive and emotional status.
Therapeutic Modality
The Behavioral Health Department uses a person-centered approach to identify the best therapeutic intervention for the individual. Within our substance use treatment programming, we take a harm reduction approach utilizing a cognitive behavioral and motivational interviewing lens to best tailor treatment.
